In your opinion , who was LSU's best true freshman, EVER, in football?

IMO , it's hard to pick between TM and Laron Landry. TM was a ball hawk. LL led the team in tackles on one of the best LSU defenses of ALLTIME. I'm sure there are some older players in forgetting.

I would assume Dalton, cause that's mine. Came in with very little fanfare at the same time as Gary James who had all the fanfare, and very simply outperformed him from the start.

I can remember Risher saying it was obvious from day 1 of practice. Nobody could tackle him.

But he could also catch and block at a very high level.

Carl Otis Trimble. A shame he didn't live to show his talent on the varsity squad. He was really fun to watch.

I never knew that. I was 4 or 5 at the time, though. Hodson was by far my favorite player.
