AT&T came out and admitted an update they put out was incompatible with Xbox live(on the 23rd). As of yesterday at 1pm, they declared the issue solved, even admitting they didn't solve it fast enough.

Today at 1pm, I still can't get my Xbox to read an IP Address from my router.
Anybody else having this problem?
I already undeservingly punched my 360, assuming the fault was mine, a few days ago. I would like to avoid angry solutions and see if there's a more tech appropriate response.

... I just want to be happy again. :kicksrocks:

We had ATT for the longest and it became terrible around 2008. Switched to Charter years ago. They recently upgraded our package to 100 down and 10 up for $70bucks a month.

I really didn't have anything to add to your rant. Sorry.

What did they update? Their router/modem?

Either way...ATT sucks all around. They are simply way to expensive.

Been hearing about a lot of people with U-verse problems lately, time to change it looks like. I've had Cox for years with little to no problems.

Had the same issue. Kicked me off of Live Sat night and could not get back on until yesterday. To make matters worse there was an issue with servers where a lot of people included me that tried to just reboot the routers lost total service. No Internet and no tv for 3 days. No tv not a big deal. No Internet sucked trying to get kids homework, do work related things at home etc.

Fixed it yesterday by opening router status page in browser and resetting broadband connection there. Service was back up yesterday morning but they limited MTU to 576 when it needed to be 1500 for Live. When I read that I checked my router stats last night and mine was 576. Refreshed broadband connection at he bottom of that stat page and it reset to 1500

I loved Uverse when I first got I but it has gone downhill. I am swapping providers next week and going net only. Will have local channels and will stream anything else I or kids want to watch. Heck they spend more time on Netflix than tv anyway lol

This explains a lot now. Recently I've been having to unplug and restart the router at least 2-3 times a week.

But before all this, I had been happy with everything. Maybe I need to start looking around.

I've had no issues with my u verse over the past week. Played about an hour last night with no problems.
