I wish the Saints would paint the entire endzone like this. Looks much better than what it usually is.

Having the endzone all black with the gold fleur de lis and SAINTS would look awesome IMO

agreed. They wouldn't even paint the endzones for the BCS games. I didn't think they ever would. Maybe they will see how awesome it looks and go that route.

Does anyone know the reason why they don't do this? Is it just too much of a pain in the arse with so many football events at the Dome? With the field turf, it's not like the old Astroturf where they can just roll out a new 10 yard section for each end zone.

I think thats a lame excuse, the cowboys paint theirs and they have a ton of events in cowboy stadium.

Pretty sure the Cowboys have different endzone turfs. As in take it off the rest of the field and replace it with another one.

How does the Saints work? It isn't actually painted is it? because I've never seen a player get up and have paint marks on their jerseys or anything. I've always wondered what it actually was for when they have those little kickoff or play 60 boxes on the 20's

You realize how much ink that takes up? I know budget isn't a big deal for a multi-million dollar business, but having to take all of that up and flip it after a Tulane game or whatever else just isn't realistic overnight IMO. They pressure wash all of the logos and hashmarks each time they change, then stencil everything back in with high pressure spray painters.

I liked the Super Bowl field layout more when the SB logo was on the 50 and the teams helmets were on the 25's

Btw the SB logo sucks now. I liked when it was different each year. Goodell is screwing with everything

Tulane ruins everything. Maybe after they get done their new stadium they can do it.

Yep. I loved the different Super Bowl logos that were unique to the hosting city. Now it's the same one every year with the Lombardo Trophy.

So I don't get it. Is that the same field the saint's use and they just repaint the synthetic grass, or do they use different endzones? How do places with field turf do that? How do you keep painting endzones and midfield over and over without fricking up the material?

I've always wondered the same exact thing. People have been saying they actually paint it.

The whole end zone used to be painted black. I think they need to bring it back.

fricking yes it would. I've been wondering forever why they don't do this. I used to love the black endzones back when the Dome had the astroturf.

How about we use the endzone Colors we had in the Super Bowl? I thought it looked pretty sweet.

ETA: this endzone combined with us wearing our throwbacks would be awesome.
