Philip Seymour Hoffman's little role in this movie was awesome.

The silly parts of it were great but the serious parts sucked, to me. Very uneven movie. Too many extreme characters. Everyone was either evil or saintly. Or were they both evil and saintly?

Found Jude Law to be a very strange choice for a confederate soldier.

Great movie and very underrated. Pretty tragic story throughout. one of my favorites of the 00's.

I liked the book but I guess I've never seen the movie. I'll have to catch it sometime.

It's a good movie. I liked Jack White in it too.

Also, if I could ever get beyond Renee Zellweger's terrible accent, I would enjoy it more.

I do, however, agree with this. Why did she have such a god awful accent in this movie? Isn't she from Texas? I would have thought being from somewhere in the Southern region would give her a leg up on doing a decent accent.
