i'd almost guarantee the total settlement was over 7-figures when all was said and done (i'd imagine there was a structure to it)

they had to at least gotten half of that 13mil, huh? or close to it

its not like Lewis was that well paid back then. Its not exactly chump change to him at that point in his career.

These threads are so retarded. From those quotes we are supposed to think Lewis is a murderer, right?

Looks like Brother Ray's weapon prospered against those two people at the club that night.

Nothing Ray did in that situation was right, but the holier-than-thou postulating gets old

Baltimore Sun reported in 04 that he paid the 4 year old daughter of one of the victims $1,000,000. It doesn't surprise me he paid that much to a child. You parade a 4 year old in front of a jury who lost their father under any circumstances and you run the risk of getting whacked, whether liability is favorable or not.

they knew they had him by the balls from the mere fact he agreed to settle. If they were seeking 13mil, im pretty sure they didnt venture to far from that number.

i doubt they got that much

lewis was almost assuredly liable in a scenario where the damages were so high that even if he was only slightly liable (and if GA has division of liability), he'd be paying a shite ton of money

I'm pretty sure Art Modell paid that shite out of his pocket money, hence the current love fest with the family.

No, I'm going to enjoy seeing him cry after my team gives him the retirement he deserves. But I guess that phony would cry either way so that isn't saying much.

ray lewis is by no means far superior to anyone or a model citizen.

he should be praised for the way he prepares for and plays the game of football, and for the way he has turned his life around after his earlier messes.

he may or may not have killed anyone thats not for me to decide a court of law let have a plea bargain and let him go. In the end he will have to answer to his god and his maker and that is one person he can't lie to or turn with his charm.

With all due respect, LE, it really doesn't necessarily work that way when it comes to settling lawsuits.
