Is he buried on the depth chart? I remember aTm wanted him pretty bad coming out of high school.

Ive asked this question for two yrs. I saw him catch one ball for us a little out he was in the slot, he caught the ball backhanded and got up field. Catch look effortless and he seemed very quick a matchup problem for big safeties and LB's that are evrywhere in this league? LSu needs to find a a guy like him to run short to midrange safety valve routes. Fobbs looks the part to me.

You're pretty pussified if you'd transfer after your redshirt year.

Fobbs will be a RSJR this year. He has been in the program for 3 years.

He is probably Beckham's backup at Z receiver going into the Spring, assuming Magee returns to RB with the departure of Ford and Ware (likely).

Fobbs will have to fend off John Diarse. A lot of people expect big things from Diarse.

This is how I got it going into the Spring. This list could obviously be wrong:

XR: Boone, Wright, Dural, Williams
ZR: Beckham, Fobbs (Magee back at RB)
3W: Landry

And then we've got Johnson (now Peterson) and Diarse already on campus. Leslie arrives in June. Spears in the Fall. Post-Spring, I would expect the depth to look something like this:

XR: Leslie, Boone, Dural, Peterson, Williams, Spears
ZR: Beckham, Diarse, Fobbs
3W: Landry, Wright

We have a lot of receivers for next year. We have a proven quartet in Beckham, Landry, Boone, and Wright. Besides them, a lot of people expect contributions from Leslie, Dural, and Diarse.

I don't see Fobbs getting on the field much, honestly, unless he has a breakthrough Spring.

Every commitment is "the next" somebody. The vast majority aren't.

Not sure if serious..

This is third hand info, but a friend of mine from church works with Jarrets mom. She said that Les basically told Jarret last spring that his playing time at LSU would be basically zip and if more playing time was his goal he should look at transferring...
