His old ranking is wiped out and they are working on completing the top 250. I think he misses out on that, but signing with lsu and getting a lot of attention from Bama will help the stargazers feel better about spears. He deserves a much higher ranking.

I don't understand the team rankings. LSU has 2- 5* 15 -4* and 8-3*. BAMA has 2-5* 13-4* an 7-3* and their class is ranked 2 spots ahead of LSU's? How does that add up?

I was wondering why UF was rated higher than us even though we have more 4*s and 2 less 3*s (we both have 2 5*s). I assume it is bc Spears currently doesn't have a ranking.
I assume if he just gets a 3* then we significantly close the gap. I know none of this really matters but just want the scoring system to make sense.

the whole rating system is crazy bc they don't even go and see all of the players in person before they rate them

Refresher course on rivals formula.
1) They count only the top 20 players in your class.
2) You get "bonus points" for having a player at a respective position in the top tier (depends on position how far down they go), a top 5 player at their position and the top player at their position get bonus points as well
3) You get your score bumped with a higher average star rating (think of it as a "weight factor")
Not sure how the Spears "no rating" is affecting our score. Our average ranking of 3.76 means that Spears isn't being averaged in. But his not having a rating must be factoring in since LSU did not get nearly they bump they should have with 2 players going from 4 to 5 stars. We should have gotten a 200-250 point bump in our score and I think we only got about 60 point bump.
LSU should be at about 2800 points right now. Not all the adjustments have been made apparently.
If Spears gets a 4 star ranking, LSU will be #1 in recruiting at about 2875 points.

What old ranking are you referring to? Rivals didn't even have a profile for him until after he committed to LSU.

he's still listed as NR. Im not sure what the OP is referring to. That will change either tomorrow or the next day.
