| Restructuring a mortgage- any luck? (Posted on 1/18/13 at 3:13 pm)
Has anyone had any luck (or insider knowledge) going to their mortgage lender and trying to do a restructure to get a lower rate at little to no cost? I know I can refi but I wanted to see if anyone had any luck with this. Oh and I have BoA...

How long ago was the contract date?
Ask for a change in terms to reduce the rate.
BoA probably won't give two shits and sold your loan the day it was made. But all they can do is tell you no... so ask anyway.
