Natchez Shooters Supply still has .40 and .45 range rounds for anyone looking for those. I think with shipping it cost me about $6 more than it would have with tax at the Walmarks, but Natchez has it in stock.

I'm kind of new to TD so I apologize ahead of time if I'm slow. What's the status of the .223/5.56 ammo on the internet or elsewhere. Anyone know where I can purchase any? How far back are the back orders. I heard the Spotted Dog in Columbia has .223 hornady that is being sold for $40 a box. I ain't paying that. Where can I get ammo?

Nonexistent

No where right now. You have to find out when online places will have it in stock. It normally lasts about 3-5 minutes when it comes in stock

Thanks for the reply TigerTatorTots. If anyone is looking for .223, they supposedly have some at a place in Columbia, La called the Spotted Dog Pawn Shop. But it's expensive.

.223 can be found, but most of it is over $1/round which no one in their right mind would pay. The normal priced stuff is impossible to locate

Is the $1.00 per round stuff on the internet somewhere? At this point, I might buy it.

Check out Palmetto State Armory. They've had a big selection of the expensive stuff, but have been sold out of the cheap stuff

ETA: NVM I realize none of that is .223

Look at gunbroker.com. Its like an ebay for gun stuff. They have ammo on it constantly, but it is high priced

lol, there is that. Even though there's not a Walmarks in my area.

I've been chuckling for the past couple weeks about some comments from a while back about how when SHTF 9mm will be the most readily available round. At this point I'd have to break into a shite load of houses to get a good stockpile going, or I can order all the .40 and .45 I want.

because it is sold out and as soon as it is available it disappears quicker than Keyser Soze.

So the bottom line is basically MOST of us could use more .223 or 5.56 right?

ok well if a miracle happens i will grab all i can(with decent pricing of course, yeah i know) and let the board know IF it happens.
