Dodged a Bullet Already

Security Guard Leaves Gun In School Bathrrom
quote:

A security officer at a Lapeer charter school left a firearm unattended in a school bathroom on Monday, Jan. 14, a school official said.

The rate of incident is probably low, but more guns in schools will lead to more incidents in schools.

There's your answer. He's probably some liberal 'panty waste' like you are. Hire or place a real officer in that position. Nice try though but you still FAIL !

FWIW, cops have done this as well. It's not a phenomenon exclusive to security guards.

Yeah never mind the real crime we need officers for. Let's put them all in preventative roles.

Any "officer" carrying a REVOLVER today is the poorest of trained / proficient in his duties. Probably a bailiff or shitty corrections deputy / reserve given peace officer qualifications. Hire a competent peace officer.

** I do think, KNOW, that peace officer standards are TOO LOW. They have been lowered over the years to include more "less qualified applicants".

Go Figure !

An abundance of paper will also lead to numerous paper cuts! Get rid of the paper!

exactly, and as a bonus they could shoot all the dogs that poop on the lawn at the school. WIN-WIN-WIN

Yes because that unattended gun could have jumped up and killed a person.

But why didn't it?

What I am trying to figure out is shouldn't that gun be holstered and why did he take out to take a shit?

From the article:

The school recently hired the officer, who is retired from the Lapeer County Sheriff's Office, as a means to bolster school security.

Not quite a "panty waste" and should have known better. As a rule officers should get disciplined for leaving their firearm unattended, but some departments are more lenient than others.

PS: Didn't mean for this to be a drive by yesterday, just busy with work.

14K posts and you don't see the problem with leaving a gun unattended in a K-8 school? Rose colored glasses when it comes to issues you support, huh?

Most likely a rent-a-cop operation with no training...

The armed guards should be uniformed officers

I'm assuming that you read the first post and not the entire page...

From the article:

Not a "Rent-a-Cop".
