Along with his head coaching position. If he still can't find a way to turn that franchise around then there's nowhere for him to place blame and the Jets will have an easy decision in firing him and replacing both positions with new blood.

They are likely hiring John Idzik today.
Only way Rex doesn't get fired after a bad season is if they plan on gutting the entire team beforehand.
