He never played. He was a huge recruit in Stovall's last class in 1983. Joker even made the cover of the LSU student phone book. 
Got in a little bit of trouble (nothing major) in the second semester after Arnsparger got to LSU and Bill kicked him off the team.

I was at a booster meeting with Bill Arnsparger around that time. He said Stan wouldn't go to class, so they assigned someone to escort him to each of his classes. Then they found out he would wait for the escort to leave and then he would skip out of the class.

I had classes with him at NLU after that....he didnt go to class there either.

Call him what you want. Northeast got a national title compliments of his efforts. Guy wasn't even in tip top shape at the time and still delivered the bacon.

Humphries was in my english and math class as a freshman, that I can remember he was there regularly. He told me himself that he just didn't like Arnsparger. I would absolutely consider him a diva and I don't see Arnsparger as being someone who is much on diva's. Especially and unproven freshman or at this point sophomore. Stovall recruited Humphries and was fired after our freshman year.
