It's later found out that Sean Payton and Mickey Loomis started this rumor in order to tank Te'o's draft stock and improve the LB group as we pick him up in a later round. <____<

His tackling ability would fit right in.

He could probably get some tips from Jenkins.

There's a good chance he may be a psychopath but I'm good with him in the 6th.

Not happening! He's good if he even gets drafted around 17ish.

the deadspin story if anyone hasn't seen it

truly bizarre, the whole world is turning into tmz/espn

my favorite part is that he and ND can dole out BS responses that the mainstream press seems to take at face value. That won't be the case when he gets interviewed behind closed doors by NFL personnel. That would be some good convos to listen in on.

NEW-

OK, now it’s really getting weird.

On the same night the story of Manti Te’o's girlfriend and her death last year from Leukemia was revealed as a hoax, an NFL player insisted “No, she is real.”

Um — what?

Reagan Mauia, who played in two games for the Arizona Cardinals last season, said he met Lennay Kekua in person during an outreach trip with Troy Polamalu of the Pittsburgh Steelers and others in June 2011.

“This was before her and Manti,” Mauia said Wednesday, according to ESPN. “I don’t think Manti was even in the picture, but she and I became good friends. We would talk off and on, just checking up on each other kind of thing. I am close to her family. When she was going through the loss of her father, I was — I offered a comforting shoulder and just someone to bounce her emotions off. That was just from meeting her in Samoa.”

I think they're attitude toward Manti will be like what Deniro said to the slot machine worker in casino,

"Listen, if you didn't know you're bein' scammed, you're too frickin' dumb to keep this job. If you did know, you were in on it. Either way, you're out."

I read this earlier. Very strange indeed. I can see it both ways actually, and I am not sure what the truth is at this point. He very well could've been duped, but he also could've created this entire farce. Seeing this story made me start to believe he is telling the truth about being duped.

Either way, I'd draft him in the 3rd round faster than leukemia stole his love life from him.

yeah, but we aren't talking about security at a casino here. As long as he doesn't get duped by the play action, I'm fine with the crazy. Hell, maybe this defense needs a little crazy

I'm all To'ed out brother.

I think he played a lot of good football against mostly mediocre competition. I don't know how he will fare in the pros but I would be pissed off if we took a late round flier on this basket case.

This whole story with the girlfriend was funny as hell yesterday but I'm already tired of hearing about now.

He looks like he is pretty decent in pass coverage but then again, half of the passes he picked off, the QB was telegraphing where he was going with the ball. He couldn't help our run defense at all in my opinion.

I'd rather have Khaseeme Greene from Rutgers.
