Teeing off Wednesday, 9:30 PM CST, Tiger Woods vs Rory McIlroy and an entire field of other Euros. Who ya got???
Pulling hard for Rory, but he's got more pressure on him now than ever before (about $200 million worth of pressure). Wouldn't be surprised to see Tiger win the first battle of 2013 between the two.
Well, no interest at all left for me.As for the rest of the field, other than Martin Kaymer, who's grouped with Rory and Tiger, I don't even know who else is in the field.

So Rory sucked, and Tiger played pretty poor, then somebody watching on tv called in to report a penalty on Tiger and they both miss the cut (allegedly, I haven't cared to confirm it).
Well, no interest at all left for me.

Well it's the first good thing we've had since the Ryder Cup. When I say good thing, I mean that two of the world's best are going head to head.
I'm sure others like Donald, Westwood, and McDowell are probably there as well.

Tiger has befriended Rory out of respect. Tiger has finally found a worthy advisary. Sure, Tiger was down for a couple of years, and others were able to win, but Tiger can see real talent, and Rory is the first person that can consistently stand up to Tiger and defeat him on a routine basis.

I find the whole relationship to be fascinating because they have completely different personalities.
Rors is kind of aloof and nonchalant (shows up late to the Ryder Cup n shit).
Tiger is a relentless worker and super serious.
Tiger might be the best course manager on tour, while Rors has the most talent with plus-level creativity.

When Tiger wasn't reeling from Elin-gate, he would have never had a summer like Rory did last summer. Rors was missing cuts and played pretty crappy from May-July. I'm certain that he reached #1 in the world, started thinking about things other than golf (tennis girl), and lost focus on what he does best.
Tiger never lost focus like that.

Yeah that's true about Rory's ups-and-downs, something Tiger never really struggled with as much.
Tiger's game is just built for consistency. Mental toughness, conservative approach, top-level focus.
Rory is a free swinger and more aggressive... definitely hasn't mastered the focused/mental aspect of the game like Tiger did during his peak.
If you combined Rory's ridiculous skill set with Tiger's mentality, the golf world would be completely fricked.
