La Villa Strangiato.

Might be the most impressive song ever.

Marathon is fun. Vocals really soar.

Red Sector A has a real sci fi vibe to it that I like a lot, but how many songs by Rush don't have a sci fi vibe?

Of course, I have 30 favorite Rush songs.

I have to put that one right up there with 2112 and YYZ.

Go jerk off a hippie to some Widespread Panic or Phish and stay the frick out of here, then. It's cool that you're so cool, though.

Baloo has forgotten more about music than you or I will ever know. It's not a troll, he doesn't like rush, but he does like to post in rush threads

Thank you. If people don't like Rush they can stay the hell out of this thread and go listen to Moby.

Working Man is probably my favorite, although I too have about 30 favorites.

Short List:

Anthem
Bastille Day
Temples of the Syrinx
By-Tor and the Snow Dog
Beneath, Between, and Behind

Tom Sawyer was the first Rush song I ever heard. I was in Panama City Beach Florida for our high school band competition and we were at an amusement park. There was a ride called "The Abominable Snow Man" that was a "scrambler" inside an enclosed dome. It was pitch dark, the walls were lined with mirrors, and they kept it cooled down to about 50 degrees. They had an awesome sound system but they had been playing some crappy music as we waited in line to get on the ride. When my buddies and I got on, and the attendant checked to make sure we were locked in, my buddy saw that the attendant was wearing a Rush concert T. He said "Badass T man, can you play some Rush?". The dude smiled and started the ride in pitch black with Tom Sawyer cranked to eleven. As we spun up to speed, jamming to Rush, the strobe lights started and turned an incredible ride in to something from another dimension. I've never forgotten that ride, or that song.

Red Barchetta would be second for me.

Rush isn't nearly obscure enough for him. They had a popular song or two.

Xanadu

It's just so '70's for me.
