KC kayak vs Jackson cuda 12

I want to upgrade my kayak and these are te two kayaks I'm debating over. The KC looks to be really stable and I like the standing fishing platform for fishin reds. The Cuda looks like it faster I really like the seat. The one thing I want to know about the Cuda, will I be able to stand and fish? Overall I want a kayak I can stand and fish, but still have a little speed. Thoughts????

yes
both are good. id go w/ the cuda personally. many more fish friendly features and the seat is awesome

Thanks I was leaning toward the Cuda. I'm glad the 12' came out cause that will be a lot easier to maneuver

Both solid kayaks that you really can't go wrong with. Your best bet would be to demo them both and see which one YOU like better.
Personally, I think the KC is the more stable of the two- I have stood up in the Cuda, but until you get used to it, it feels more "tippy". The KC has a wide open cockpit and leaves you with a blank canvas to do whatever rigging ideas work for you. The Cuda is a more turn-key kayak, and fishable right out of the bag. If you fly fish, the KC has a better cockpit design for stripping line.
Also, the Diablo Adios, Native Slayer, and the new Jackson Cruise (a Cuda without the bells and whistles and center hatch), and the Ride 135 are all kayaks in the same "class" as the KC and Cuda, so be sure to check them all out!

I won't be for a couple of months until I'll be ready to buy one, but how much is he selling it for?

I have the Cuda 12. Absolutely no complaints. I have no problem standing to fish and I even paddle a lot while standing. It's a great yak.
I have never been in a KC so I can't compare that one.

My next kayak will either be a Hobie Revo or Outback. WAnt the mirage drive bad.
Then I will get a KC for if I am solely fishing marsh reds

What happens when a real boat rolls by on a power plane and tips you over? Do you get pissed at him for doing it, or at yourself for being in a

Yeah paddling sucks big time. I was so worn out this morning by the time I got to where I wanted. Going against a 10mph wind is no fun. I was also in about 2" of water most of the day.

but he's still an arse.

The water was so low in my honey hole that I basically just gave up and relaxed in the sun for a while. Second cast with my new Chronarch I landed this big fella. 18 lbs and he drug my arse everywhere! Wouldn't have landed him if it wasn't for the Powerpro!
Also first time I've used this Mirrodine lure I just bought.
