If it has the same improvement gap that 2 had from 1, I'll check it out. What I've seen has been disappointing though

I agree. Two was nowhere near as suspenseful. Isn't this one co-op? I like co-op games but I kind of like that "you are all alone" feel to the game. It got me excited when I found someone alive only to watch them die some horrible death.

Game plays differently if you are playing by yourself or with someone else.

Yea same for me.
The story, gameplay and mechanics were better in 2 but sense of being alone in space wasn't there which made 1 great.

It looks like Lost Planet based on gameplay I've seen. I don't know why survival horror games feel the need to remove the horror aspect.

The first ranks as my favorite game of the survival horror genre, & while the second installment did lack in the horror department, it did make up for it in more badass shite going down. It will piss me off to no end if the developers frick up this game.
