Smart move by randall and bolden.....never going to play at LSU and if so it is to run the option. Williams could never get on the field i don't know why but good luck to him. It is apparent Les was the brothers at linebacker....

If every one of those guys leave, it won't affect LSU one bit next year.

This shite isn't normal

5-6 players transferring each year is normal and needed. All those players leaving for the draft were expected to leave before the season began. Which is why the coaches tried to sign more than 25 commits this year.

All moves seem to make sense. I had high hopes for AW though!

WHAAAAT?????

No way!!! Doesn't he read the Rant??

He's going to get a 50/50 split with Mett cause Miles wants a new JJ and HATES throwing the ball!!!!

He is going to be Miles' new favorite cause he loves the short side option!!!

Signed,

The Rant circa Spring 2012

Glenn Dorsey
Tyson Jackson
Early Doucet
Buster Davis

All were Seniors. So yeah, all these early departures are not normal IMO.

Its called the CBA. The NFL has new rules in place for paying guys from the draft. Unless your first round, momey is not much different 2nd round and down. The real money comes in the second contract 3 years later. Sooner you get in the league, quicker you get to sign the new deal.

I didn't have high hopes for him but was pulling for him. Wish him success in whatever he does.

I feel bad for Randall. After all, he chose LSU from day one.. and always had a great attitude.

This has the look of a mass exodus. Never in the history of college football have so many juniors declared for the draft. I did several searches and can find no school EVER with more.

What was a sour mood after the Chicken Bowl has turned into resignation that we are going to have a tough, tough year next season.

Of players who are ready for the NFL, who will never see the field, or who have shitty attitudes. I don't see any problem.

I agree! This is an awful sign as to the state of our Tigers and is not "normal" for any healthy program. With practically the entire junior and senior classes gone we are so screwed next season.

I think we had 81 guys on scholarship last season and now we have ~25 guys leaving which will put us at 56 or so.

4 early enrollees count back and 25 or so report in the fall.

We could take 29 total, and if everyone qualifies, then we are back to 85.

I think we are still worried on one or two incoming guys not making the grades.

I don't think Les will sign more than that (29) due to the Elliot Porter fiasco a few years ago. He would be screwed again if he had 31 guys and all 31 qualified. At least two would be asked to greyshirt and he doesn't want to surprise kids with this request anymore.

Randle will prove to be alot like Manziel when givien a chance to play. his style of play is almost the same as Manziel and he was the main reason we were the only team to slow Jim down this year.

None of these guys will be seeing playing time. They all have issues or have been or will be passed on the depth chart.

I hate to lose Randall, if given a chance he might have beaten out Mett! Remember he was rated higher coming out of high school than Johnny football! Like I have said before Les has all kinds of trouble coaching a QB.
