The front 4 and our young corners.

how about this - instead of bitching about 1 game 2 years ago, try and look objectivly and Harpers play the last 2 years versus others on the defense. you will find that harper has actually been one of the brighter spots.
Go watch the redskins game, giants game, then get back to me on that note......would have said falcons or who missed the ball vs sf, but Drew sold us out those games and you know we can't offend Drew since he's considered off limits by some.

again - your referencing games that the entire Defense shite the bed. im asking you to objectively look at the player for good and bad.
the cliche thing to do on the forums is to pick a player and bash him. after the seattle game, Harper was the one people piled on.
your post doesn't seem to be anything more than "its been said, so ill hop on the bash Harper bandwagon and make a thread to try and look cool".
instead of just focusing on the negative, just realize - we could still have Kevin Kiershvasharn - or however its seplled. if that doesn;t make you thankful for harper i honestly don;t know what more to say.

Don't sweat karralum.
To me, he sounds like he's either trolling or one of those guys you just cannot watch a Saints game with. You know the kind, at the first incomplete pass he's screaming Brees is overpaid, or the first touchdown scored against the defense he's screaming at the television that the defensive coordinator needs to be fired. He just doesn't understand football enough to make an educated contribution to the offseason topics at hand.

oh i'm not sweating what he is saying - in fact im trying to get him to look at it with an open mind instead of being dead set one way.
also seeing how long this can go before insults are tossed.

I would have thought after that Seattle game, the Saints would have quickly resigned Sharper last year considering his safety IQ is much better than that of Harper.

Well, there's your problem.

Blues summed up the harper situation very nicely. I only have one thing to add. Moving Harper to linebacker is a chuckle worthy joke akin to LSU fans saying that Trindon Holliday should play defensive end. It is only slightly less ridiculous. Players simply rarely change position in the NFL, and when they do, they never go from the secondary to the linebacker corp. I can't take anybody seriously who thinks this is a real possibility.

I wasn't around at this time. Did this really happen?

he was really fast as an edge rusher... as long as you couldn't get one finger on him to knock him down
always loved the pics of him n Herman Johnson together

I will never understand why some SAINTS FANS continue to hold on to CRAPPY PLAYERS!!! The Patriots get rid of guys so perfect. FO stop holding on to guys like WILL SMITH, SHANLE hell even HENDERSON shoulda been gone a year or 2 ago.
Posted on 1/11/13 at 12:31 pm to TheFreakyRobber
ill grant you 2 of them - but untill this year Henderson was decent....not all pro, but decent for the price.

Did you know Herman Johnson was the biggest baby ever born in Louisiana?
Posted on 1/11/13 at 12:42 pm to Thracken13
can't get on the Devery train anymore. I don't think he was a value player at all...
$3,625,000 for 22 catches= $164,773 per catch
Graham $8,721 per catch is da bomb value
Joe Morgan $37,500 per catch
Lance $35,288 per catch
Colston $39,759 per catch

Terrible post

Harper gets shite on more than he really should. is he elite? hell no - but we have had some far worse players to play the position than him.
and why bring up the Seattle game? how about the games he played decently this year?
Good post

I have no problem with him as a part of the defense regarding performance. I am extremely bothered by his contract though.
Good post.
Harper gets shite on more than anybody on this board. Especially, when Jenkins is worse than him. He is middle of the pack SS.
