Time to let it all go.....ie: CLM is terrible, CLM is the best ever, Bama and Saban blah blah blah, ESPN and the SEC hate LSU, and so forth and so on.

The truth in any matter usually lies somewhere between the two extremes, so in the midst of all the opinions and assesments about the state of LSU football, I've come to these conclusions for my own peace of mind:

Les is a good coach. He is one of three coaches to win a championship at LSU. I'm ok with him overall and have confidence he can fix the O.

Even though all these juniors are declaring, the roster is still stacked. Whether or not any championships are attainable in 2013 remains to be seen, but 2014 and the playoffs will be exciting and LSU will be in the thick of it.

In conclusion, frick Saban and Bama....they may have more championships, but the LSU experience is still the best.

You can't win NC every year. Should be happy to even be in the hunt. Believe it or not, no matter how good you are. luck id a big part of it.

But, but, but... then, what is left? Can we still blast the Sunshine Pumpers, the Complacency Syndrome ranters, and the other moronic sub-humans who post here? (I really am joking)

You're really bringing some good perspective to the ongoing mega-conversations along here. Thanks! But no promises.

I especially like this parting shot...

I agree w/ everything you say. I don't think Alabama is a "dynasty" but then again I don't really know what the definition of a "dynasty" is. Certainly, their program has been the best in college football over the past few yrs.

The reason I would not use the term dynasty is that, let's look at these few instances: (1) 2009, TN beats Ala. at Ala, if not for that pig blocking the FG attempt. (2) Last yr, a heavily -favored OK St beats Iowa St, we're not having this conversation. (3) this yr, either Oregon or K-St win all their games as they were favored to do, we're not having this conversaton. (4) a few poll voters go a different way last yr (OK St vs. Ala.) we're not having this conversation.

True, Ala. made the most of their opportunities and found ways to win which is the mark of a champion. No dispute there. I just think the talk of "dynasty" is a bit much. Then again, it's Alabama ("15 national championships.")

LSU was definitely ripped off in 2011, no doubt about it...

Last year we had huge wins over South Carolina and Texas A&M...an extremely close loss to Florida, and had Alabama on the ropes...

LSU will be ready to play in '13. The D will still be plenty good.

Remember, Florida, Bama, and Georgia lose a lot of people too...

Personally, I think Florida will be a little down next year...A&M will be good, but we get them at home

Auburn and Arkansas will say in the basement. Ole Miss will be tricky...

The key games will be Bama and A&M, so we can win the SEC West and head to Atlanta

I'm glad we are in the hunt. Tell Bama they can't win it every year. Well, you are right they only got 3 out of 4...
