Trailer

Newcomer Chadwick Boseman as Robinson

Harrison Ford as Branch Rickey

Brian Helgeland is writer/director. Doesn't have much on his resume as a director but has some nice writing credits... LA Confidential, Mystic River, Man on Fire

Looking forward to this one pretty good. Saw the trailer the first time during the Vikings Packers game. What is the release date?

I believe July.

I remember Denzel saying Spike Lee tried for years to get him to do a Robinson biopic. Eventually, he just felt he was too old to pull it off. Would've probably had to do it as soon as they finished Malcolm X.

OK...My honest opinion.

The actor seems good...but wrong for the part.

He still seems impressive acting wise....but not Robinson.

Put it this way....If Tarantino went with an unknown....I could have seen this dude as Django.

Robinson sounded more like RG3.

I see what you're getting at but you can't accurately assess that since the actor playing Robinson only talks about 5 times in the trailer.

He wasnt married to a white woman and a republican from what I understand

But public speaking he was similar to RG3.

The title of this thread made me chuckle. It made it sound like Harrison Ford was playing Jackie Robinson.

It looks good! I will definitely watch it. I hope that the terrible music at the end is not played throughout the film, though...

Yup and Chattanooga, Atlanta and Macon.

It was a decent trailer until Jay-Z piped in and ruined it.
It'll end up being another 'white folks are bad mmmkay' movie. But not as bad as some of the others we've been subjected to lately

Wait.......

Did I just see Harrison Ford acting?

I thought all he could do now was mumble.
