Sat, Aug 31 TCU at Arlington, Texas: they are kind of down compared to where they have been over the past 5 or so years; we normally play well in domes; even a loss doesn't prevent us from attaining all goals
Sat, Sep 07 UAB Baton Rouge, La.: at home; rent a win
Sat, Sep 14 Kent St. Baton Rouge, La.; at hom; rent a win
Sat, Sep 21 Auburn * Baton Rouge, La.: at home; Auburn still very bad
Sat, Sep 28 Georgia * at Athens, Ga.: they lose a lot on defense; even if we lose, we still control our destiny in SEC
Sat, Oct 05 Mississippi St. * at Starkville, Miss.: when was the last time we lost to them and how many times have we lost to them in 20 years
Sat, Oct 12 Florida * Baton Rouge, La.: revenge from last year; at home; their offense is putrid with no pass game at all
Sat, Oct 19 Ole Miss * at Oxford, Miss.: still a big talent gap; this is a place where we might get upset, but on the field talent is still not close
Sat, Oct 26 Furman Baton Rouge, La.: at home; rent a win
Sat, Nov 09 Alabama * at Tuscaloosa, Ala.: we have a bye before; with only a loss to UGA or Ole Miss, we still contro SEC destiny
Sat, Nov 23 Texas A&M * Baton Rouge, La.: at home; the blueprint will exist to stop Manziel
Sat, Nov 30 Arkansas * Baton Rouge, La.: at home, they are terrible

For everyone saying 8-4, that is really the absolute worst case scenario.

If can survive TCU then we have a month to work out the kinks before UGA. Really don't expect a road win there.
Florida will be a good game.
Worry about going to Ole Miss, good coach and they will be better.
We'll know before the Bama game if we have a legit chance.
I expect A&M to be down a little, good game that will be a toss up like UF.
Have no freaking clue bout the pigs, they aren't terrible but always play tough.

TCU will not be down. they return 20 starters and were the youngest team in the NCAA.

still think we win but they will be much improved from this year

they are not a top 5/ top 10 team as they have been. are they getting their qb back or is he gone (the one that got suspended).

I am so confused by the people that say this.

Most of our starters have experience. In fact are we going to have one single starter next year that doesn't have experience?

We played a TON of young guys this year.

horrible schedule. LSU was gassed at FL.(game 6) this yr., and looked spent at A&M (game 8).

next yr.? it's a moronic 9 straight, bye, game, bye, and then two more on the 'back-end'.

not good.

I agree completely with everything. I dont understand all you apparent tiger fans saying a 4-5 season is awaiting us. I say a 3 loss season is the worst I can see, wouldnt be surprised if an SEC championship if we can win in T-town
Have confidence in our program.

you don't think LSU played in a haze for 1/2 that game?

So what's the excuse for the Auburn game? Or the Towson game? If we're spent 4 games into the season then our team has some pretty big problems.

And for the OP, I love how you list Auburn and Arkansas as bad, indicating that we should easily win, but neglect to point out that this year both of those games were 1 score games that were still being contested on the last drive AND both teams have a new coaching staff this year and can only get better, given how dismal they were this year.

LSU looked to be a very tired football team after game 6 of this year. To me, they looked liked a physcially drained team during game 8.

next year they play nine straigh... bye, game , bye + 2 more.

it's a bad schedule format wise.

I agree that it's a bad schedule. But it's hard to blame the problems this year on the grueling schedule when the team was under-whelming before we ever even got to the meat of it. The actually improved in the middle stretch when we had Bama, SC, and A&M bunched together. They were just really inconsistent. Having a lot of young players and questionable offensive coaching will do that.

i agree, and i'm not blaming any problems this yr. on the schedule. i just hate the format of playing 9 in-a-row regardless. it didn't help this years team playing 8 straight and i don't see it helping next years squad either tacking on another in-a-row.

+ the one game in three weeks next yr. is just awful.

yep.

Fair enough, but I still think it's silly to dismiss them as easy wins when Arkansas has beaten us 3 out of the last 6 and we only have 1 win in the series that's greater than 1 score. We often find ways to make these sorts of games harder than they should be and who knows what those programs will look like next year with new coaching staffs.

Sorry... I am NOT a blind homer. The O-line will have major issues next year and we will be even younger on D. And with theway Miles RUNS the offense???? Its anybodys guess but I am leaning toward 8 wins at best. I will put it another way. With as MUCH talent that we had THIS year. We would have somehow let ND stay in the Title game IF we had made it there. Its ALL Miles and he is WASTING the talent he has here and thtas ALOT of the reasons most skill players are leaving.
