Sounds a lot like Tim Tebow's famous speech before he lit it up.

Anyone think he's really serious about this and will have a huge senior year?

Until the day I die I'll defend Mett. Dude is literally in maybe the worst system for a pocket passing QB. He is put in terrible situations and has zero bloking for him.

According to people on this site they know his work ethic and say he doesn't watch enough film and is too worried about being a prima donna.

We better hope so because the days of laying on the defense will come to an end next year. We're going to need Mett to bail us out.

Maybe he means to work on his scrambling ability, or discover it.

I wish him the best I really do. I think he will work very hard but when it comes down to it, he is not in the right system and lacks the talent to lead this team to a NC and SEC title.

If he wants money he will. He has all the physical ability to be a NFL QB. He needs to put it together mentally and work on his deep accuracy.

This. And if he hasn't been busting his arse since issuing that statement, he isn't going to be much of one.

He sounded pretty confident after the loss a year ago. He has the tools and ability, I'm just not sure the system is helping him succeed. It is hard to be great when the entire stadium and those on TV know what the play is 75 percent of the time.
