Its about time to start planning my summer veggie garden. Living up here in TN is giving me different options and I have a lot more area to play garden.

Does anyone here order vegetable seeds online? There are a ton of sites out there, but I don't know which are the good sites that follow through.

Would love to hear what yall say.

I do this for alot of stuff but it can get expensive if you do a large garden. I normally still buy seed for corn, peas, and green beans "snap beans". But buy the plants for tomato, squash, cucumber, and pepper plants

Hope you have a greenhouse if you are working your seeds especially living in TN..

But I don't mess with seeds to plant I just buy a few plants of various things and roll with it.

I am saving my seeds for a SHTF event.

I've never ordered online, but my dad orders for me from the catalogs he gets. Usually either Park or R.H. Shumway. Ordering online shouldn't be a problem.

I try to avoid Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot, etc. for my plants. If you get them when they first arrive, they're usually not too bad, but they don't take real good care of them after that. Try one of your local nurseries or feed & seed stores first.

This x1000.

It's too cheap and easy to plant seeds for corn, peas, and beans.

The garden is going to be almost an acre big. Buying that many plants would get really expensive.

Well sort of. Close enough anyway. I have a few lamps I got cheap from Craigslist that I can hang from the ceiling of my basement. Grow the seeds down there till April and then put them outside.
