I can't get over it, either. I don't dislike Laz. He didn't make Vote for the Worst vote for him or all those hispanic chicks. It's not his fault. I feel sorry for him because he's now going to become a joke and that's what he was trying to avoid. Comedians are probably going to take him down, too.

TV just showed NM crying all over Burnell.
ETA: Now, they showed Mariah talking to him and he told her he never expected to get this far. Candace was still crying in the background.

American Idol, itself, deserves ALL THE BLAME for a complete amateurish performer like Lazaro being in the top 3. It was a gimmicky move on their part even inviting him to Hollywood, because and only because he can sing clearly (though not even close to being good)while being a stutterer. I have nothing against him and he deserves props for persevering, but American ido has done both he and the viewing public a large disservice by PLACING him on the show. He will NEVER make good as a singer, and will NOT make it in the real entertainment world. I believe that a large part of the voting public are intentionally voting for him as a JOKE, realizing how they can manipulate the results. This may be the DEATHKNELL season of this show, as they might not be able to recover from the humiliation that will occur as he continues to be passed on.

Lazaro is this season's Vote for the Worst's Sanjaya and they were able to keep Sanjaya around much longer than he ever deserved to be. Kid ended up making money for a while after that, though. Have no idea what's become of him.
What's sad is that Lazaro was out to prove that someone with is disability who got bullied and made fun of could be successful and it's backfiring horribly.
AI can't control Vote for the Worst or people supporting Laz, but this isn't going to turn out well right now. It may settle down and, hopefully, he can get through the tour without flubbing the lyrics and they give him songs he can get out that aren't mutilated in the process.
On Facebook Laz had twice the supporters of Burnell. He's also got some people telling him he should drop out.

Amber has been pretty solid lately also. The top 4 girls are good. I agree Angie hasn't held up as we thought she would, but she's going to get a record contract, regardless. I was shocked that only one judge put Candice in the top 3. I think she's easily top 3 and I like her better than Angie.
Laz making the top 3 pretty much sealed the deal that they weren't going to save Burnell because they don't want a talented girl to get screwed because Laz is hanging in the top 3. That threw off everything. Of course, Nicki may never vote for a save.
Thinking more about it, the fact that Laz made the top 3 might actually increase the viewers because that was a pretty stunning turn of events when most expected him to go. AI might just be happy about it since the ratings sucked so badly last week. I haven't looked to see if they improved this week.

I think the girl from LaPlace and Burnell are better than Lazaro - nothing against Lazaro but there has to be faction of people voting him in purposely.
Candace, Angie, Amber, Burnell, and LaPlace girl should be the final five, and maybe Velez.
But 3 out of 5 is not bad.
