Guys our defense will be more athletic next year than this year. Plus I look for Herron to come in and dominate. Rasco and Hunter are going to be great ones. I like us better at LB this year (FAST). Plus the Jalen brothers will be GOOD. 2013 Defense will be faster and I am glad Josh Downs is gone. Saw him on his arse wat too much in 2012. Bring on Freak and Ego.

AllTiger - don't care what you think, you can't replace experience. There is a reason those juniors were starters and the defense is not going to be as good with the inexperience we have next year. Some of these juniors are 2 year starters, our defense is going to have growing pains next year whether people believe it or not.

Look at what happened to Bama when they lost everyone last year. LSU, UGA and TAMU all put up over 400 yds of offense on their defense this year.

In 2011 no one put up over 400 yds on them and they kept everyone under 250 yds except for Georgia Southern which was definitely a case of playing down to competition and an anomaly.

we lost way to many starters off a average D, O line was weak. Tough schedule, dont expect too much next year.

Rasco is the only one on the line with meaningful snaps! We had all this so called talent departing to the NFL and the D wasn't really all that great this season.

Freak is going to have a 2007 Dorsey run next year, wait and see.

I have to agree with what folks are saying about experience, its proven historically to be extremely valuable. I also see some growing pains on the horizon.

BUT, nothing fixes that problem like getting the season started. I could easily see a talented but mistake prone defense in week 1 and a dominant, fast, and aggressive unit by week 9.

Defensive players learn fast, and we do have the coaches on that side of the ball to really turn them into studs.

The other thing that helps that I think some people will think is silly is the fact that everyone (inlcuding of folks on this site) are writing us off and expecting 8-4. If that's not bulletin board material, I don't know what is.

As bad as we hate watching our rival succeed. I think think of 85 guys who probably hate it more.

Also, TCU in Jerry World is a pretty big stage. LSU is going to prepping HARD for that game and I think that could make a big difference in the Spring and Summer. Look what prepping for Oregon did for us in 2011.

Just my two cents.

Going to be tough to replace those guys. I see a 2010- like defensive front. Great DT in Freak (like Nevis), with more inexperience on the ends, in Hunter (So) and Rasco (Jr), like Sam (RS Fr) and Adams (JUCO transfer) in 2010.

Certainly not saying our defense will be dominate, but I agree we will be very fast and athletic. This defense will be much better than people expect IMO.

Hopefully they've gotten the memo that laying down and cramping up on the field is a sign of softness and Moffitt can make them better conditioned than the current batch.

101 plays to 42 my friend. We could have been 4 deep at each position and still would have been cramping in the 4th qtr.

Agree with this 100% To many overrated players on the defense last year. Time to see some young guys come in and make plays.
