If you find yourself in downtown Natchez, Ms
Do yourself a favor and hit up Slick Ricks Cafe.
LINK
Very fresh made to order food, very friendly staff, and quiet a jewel to be an hole in the wall.
My wife had the French onion dip (sandwich) on the homemade croissant and cut sweet potato fries
I had the stuffed crawfish on the garlic butter parmesan croissant with the house salad.
All the salad and house sauces are organic, and made fresh daily.
Also ... They have some fantastic homemade cupcakes!! Sorry I didn't get a picture of the two we got, but we plowed through them.
I'll have to ask my wife what kind they were, she talked to chef for 20 minutes about cupcakes.
The kiddos enjoyed their homemade burgers and hand cut fries, and the cozy upstairs loft were most of the tables are.
Overall a great experience.
We'll be going back again, next time we're up that way.

Might have to give it a try the next time we're up there. Sounds pretty quality to me.

Yes Slicks is good stuff. They just added a bunch of new things to the menu and I haven't tried them all just yet. They also have a special everyday that's usually pretty good.

Yea he was the soccer coach at cathedral the catholic school here in Natchez so I got to know him through that . He originally started with the organic spices and stuff and has slowly added more and more to the food menu.

How long has he been there?
The place looked brand new

I'd say two years maybe or a year and a half. He hasn't always had the little upstairs part. Just slowly expanding and adding to the menu.

I went in there a couple of years ago (obviously right after it had opened) when all they were doing was selling spices.
I got a tin of chili powder that was legit, but it struck me as an odd business plan for a town that size. I'm glad to see it's expanding to something seemingly more productive.

Well I think the spice thing he was selling them on the Internet, as well as our of the store. But yea definitely the food aspect has got to be more lucrative.

Lunch was great, I should have taken pictures. Four of us ate, the Burger of the month looked really good all kinds of stuff on it including a fried egg, I tried the French dip which was solid and one of us got the Cuban some pork and cheese not sure what all was on it but it looked amazing. Almost got a cupcake to go but I was stuffed. Oh and everybody from the Mayor to stevan Ridleys brother were eating.

Good deal!
Like I said, he's doing it right and it seems to be showing.
I eat in a different city and a different place everyday, and I'm always happy to find places like that.
