And please tell everyone these do not work

They sell that crap at the Happy Hippie Sunshine Health Food Store next door to my gym. But I gotta go there to get my Cayenne Chips. The women there are dumb as dirt:
"Oooh, I'm sorry. I can't sell you that bag of chips today because I can't make my computer work."
Me: "That's OK, I'm not buying it. Here's 4 bucks. I'm stealing it."

It put me flat on my back for two days starting the day after Christmas. Still have a residual cough when I exert myself. The bacon flu in 2009 hit me harder, but this was not trivial. I neglected to get the shot this year. I won't make the same mistake next year.

I've had this shite for five days and it sucks. I caught it in Atlanta watching that miserable excuse of a bowl game.

Just got diagnosed with the flu and I went to Atlanta for the Bowl game.

I have never taken a flu shot and have had the flu 3 times in my entire life. Vitamin C and D for the immune system.

re: The U.S. Flu Epidemic

I wish more people would realize:
The flu shot cannot give you the flu, even the live attentuated vaccine.
It takes about 2 weeks for your immune system to become resistant to the strains covered in the vaccine, so you can still get sick if you are exposed to the virus in this timeframe.
It is tough for the CDC to predict which B strain will be most prevalent. In fact they have been incorrect 5 of the last 10 years. Some vaccines next year will cover both prevalent B strains.
There is no good scientific argument for not getting a flu vaccine, besides those people with contraindications.

I can't believe how many people realky think getting vaccinated makes them get the flu and avoid flu shots for that reason.

re: The U.S. Flu Epidemic

Whooping cough has been going around here as well as another bronchial type of infection, which for some, have ended up with pneumonia.

Been sick since New Year's Day and finally have some energy. All I could do was sleep for the last 5 days.

Take care, everyone.

I've changed my diet to mostly fruits and veggies with some meat and cut out breads and starches. Whenever my family get's sick, I only get minor symptoms. Maybe a stuffy nose. It's amazing what good nutrition will do.

The outbreak is coming largely from clusters of unimmunized immigrants/adults long overdue for boosters/hippie parents not vaccinating their kids. (He is in Cali I believe)

I was thinking developed countries had kind of eradicated whooping cough. I forgot about California.

We had, but like he said unimmunized illegals and hippies have brought it back. It's everywhere now.

Another reason we should embrace them all. Hell, we have the trillion dollar obama coin. Not a problem!

Okay doc, this is along the lines of what I meant when I insinuated, they sensationalize this flu stuff.

Tents set up for flu victims

I understand the need for infection control in their training first-hand.

But forgodssakes.
