Thoughts on this gun for a beginner? Glock isn't standard for reliability anymore.

Strongly recommended. Very easy to shoot and also fits small hands. Buy it

I have one, 300 rounds so far. No hangups. I'm not used to a striker fired trigger so it's taking some time to get decent. No expeirience with any other semi autos so can't help with camparisons.

So far I'm happy with it.

I'm sure because several others are just as reliable.

Because they're not, too many other options with the identical reliability and better ergonomics.

Read a review that they fired over 6k rounds through one no problems. Not sure if they were cleaning every so often or not. But they mentioned having to wear gloves cause it was getting so hot.

This. Rugers are like the pickup truck of handguns. Just plain ol' reliable. Rarely hear of anyone having bad experiences with them.

The consistent hate on Glock is getting old.

Agreed .... People need to do some serious shooting and see if their rugers and Keltecs are still running at the end of the day

What do you consider a day of serious shooting/training?

It's not hate. It's reality. There are plenty reliable guns out there.

What average person will do a 1000 round torture test? It isn't realistic.

If you want to get into a pissing contest about shooting I would pick someone else to piss against.

I wouldn't go around questioning posters about their gun cred bro. Most around here know their fair share.

They just have dainty hands and can't handle the manly girth a Glock possesses
