What concerts are you going to? I want to make a couple, alone, if I have to. I'm getting tired of being stuck here.

First concert I bought tickets to: Muse in Tulsa March 10. I'm going to make an epic roadtrip out of it.

Anymore badass concerts? Just throw anything out there. I'm gonna start getting into the scene.

I'm not sure your taste in Music... but some good shows coming up in January (NOLA) are:

The Whigs - Circle Bar 1/17
Jon Spencer Blues Explosion - One Eyed Jacks 1/20
Jeff Mangum - One Eyed Jacks 1/23 (sold out)
Los Lobos - Tipitina's 1/23
Calexico - One Eyed Jacks 1/24
Drive By Truckers - Tipitina's 1/27

And if you are into funk/ska the next show is in Baton Rouge at my buddy's place... Legendary L.A. band in a small venue... should be good..

Fishbone - Mud & Water 2/8

Ugh, such a busy time. I'm going to look into it, tho! I'm so busy looking at concert lineups now. I got an Excel spreadsheet where I keep up with what I gotta do on certain dates so I'll see what I can fit in.

I like Reel Big Fish, does that mean I'd like Fishbone?

I'm not familiar with that band... just go youtube some of their music...

They've been around since the 80s and are a huge cult band... They put on a good live show and quite honestly, you'll probably never see them in this intimate a setting...

Music is the spice of my life. No matter how shitty life can be for me, I'll always have music to listen and play. We are lucky to be such an influential part of music history. I wish more local guys from the Delta would play more.

For sure, man. I honestly think this is the best time for music in history thus far. It's really mind blowing the variety and quality of different artists these days compared to, say, the 80's. But I guess that's just how future progression goes. I used to be really into books, but I discovered music and it blew my mind -- it has the concert element that distinguishes it from other forms of art. The roar of the crowed, the emotion, -- music is bomb!

I've been pretty idle. I've been planning a few vacations -- San Diego and Eze, France -- but I want some "me time", you know? And I've decided that I can have fun at concerts alone. So, I'm down to do whatever. I really just like live music; I miss listening to it like the old days.

Agree 100% the delta is so historically musically rich its a shame that more people dont care about keeping that history alive

Baloo will tell you that the present is the greatest time in music because you have access to everything ever recorded, old and new. Tomorrow will be better than today, etc.

I would be inclined to agree with him.
