I think Miles has the perfect philosophy for the SEC and Championship caliber football going forward. It is his approach to his philosophy that needs immense self AND outside evaluation. I think he needs to drop the testosterone level and forget the Mad Hattter bs that we helped to create and he has somewhat come to believe. A dominant running game coupled with a precision passing game is a perfect philosophy but can be achieved without being smash mouth and bunching things up in hopes of bashing your opponents brains in. I think the current approach to his philosophy leads to a rund down of our opponent at the expense of our own players. And if the comments about Miles practice habits are correct, he needs to evaluate those as well (less contact as season wears on). Keep Stud as OC. I think the key new hires to be made are OL coach and QB coach. I his tenure has Miles or any of his staff reached out in offseason to oth staffs in NCAA or NFL to study their approach to offensive effectiveness within his philosophy?? The lifeblood to any program is recruiting and he gets the job done there. I think his comments about needing to adjust offense and the sight of his defensive players littering the Ga dome carpet from exhaustion will cause a re-evaluation of things top to bottom. And believe me, I am not a Miles fan. Just think he may have seen the light after that loss.

What makes you believe he has now seen the light?

I am hoping that the impact of the game on the defensive players and the inability to convince the players to stay for another year. I think he is immune to any comments from the fans or LSU administration. But seeing the impact on his players I am hoping will make the light go off. He sounded contrite and downtrodden in his post game comments. Believe me I am no Miles fan but think an impacts was made.

I'm not convinced, but I sure as hell hope you are correct. He is so damn stubborn though, I wouldn't be at all surprised if next year we see more of the same.

Miles has little or No chance of seeing the light...or Offensive change ...it will not happen.

Miles is a very successful (W&L) coach with NC and SEC Championships and other SEC or Big Ten schools bidding for his services.

LSU faithful will have to live with an Offense that hurts your eyes and makes winning harder than it needs to be.

I agree with you about his philosophy. It works and we don't need to change it. We are built for a power running game. The problem is our consistency in play calling and development of the quarterback. Our defense will keep us in every game. I believe a change at OC and QB coach is needed. Mett showed some improvement but will he continue to improve going into next season. The approach that we will wear them down until the 4th quarter is one of Les' biggest mistakes. You play in the SEC where the talent is not that much different from team to team. If you worry about beating them in the 1st 3 quarters, most of the time you won't have to worry about the 4th quarter. I think he puts too much on his team by having to pull it out in the 4th quarter every game.
