how much are you looking to spend?

Casual 20 - 30 dollar entrees, I'd recommend Cafe 1912.

Iris.

Food Board will have better suggestions on this topic.

Iris is damn good, but it's not a cheap night out.

BBQ. Ugh! I feel like that's all that is there. But, did you know there is a food and drink board?

Wanted to try Iris, but didn't get a chance.

Iris is as good if not better than anything in NOLA.

fricking yes. Had my rehearsal dinner here.

If you want something a bit cheaper though, Flight is a cool concept. LINK

If you want really casual, there are a few Huey's strewn about. Excellent burger joint.

If price isn't an option, try Circa, Erling Jensen, or Folk's Folly. In that order. [ETA: I've never been to Iris.]

Otherwise, I'd say Bardog or Local.

Nice restaurant, but I wouldn't call it cheaper. I always manage to rack up a huge bill there. It's too hard to resist trying three of everything, LOL.

it really depends on where you are (downtown/east memphis/burbs). If you are in east memphis, Hog & Hominy is probably the hottest casual joint in memphis right now. Very creative menu and everything tastes great.

If you are looking for a casual lunch type place and near Germantown (east side of city) check out Las Tortugas Deli Mexicana. Place is in a strip mall and appears to be nothing till you see people lined up out the door.

The Owners's son is good friends with the owner of Iris.
