I feel we have a very very good shot at landing Willis...this is not the first time I have thought this...the article only strengthens how I feel
quote:
"Landon and I talked about his choice the night before," Willis said. "We decided not to tell Mom, though, because we thought it would be funny. But man, we had no idea things would get so crazy."
quote:
"I didn't know the camera would ever turn to me, or that I'd be on the microphone," said Justin, a New Orleans native and lifelong LSU fan, "but I wouldn't change anything because that's how I felt. I still feel like LSU would be a much better place for Landon than Alabama. It's hard as a mom to see your kid make a decision you feel in your heart isn't right."
quote:
Justin has made no secret of her criticisms of Alabama. She claims Nick Saban never bothered to discuss curriculum, disrespected her and Landon's father, and that he made playing time commitments to Landon that he couldn't keep. (Saban declined to comment for this story.) While Alabama has extended an offer to Willis, the Tide aren't high on his list. "I just don't feel comfortable there," he said.

I have a feeling this thread is going to suck.
No offense.

This is the kind of stuff that happens when you put pussy on a pedestal.

Landon made a mistake not coming here. IMO he is better than Micah Eugene. He is buried in the depth chart in a more talented defensive backfield.

Collins wouldn't have played the nickel, IMO. He's more SS than he is rover/FS

"He saw how they courted Landon for two years, and his experience has not been comparable. They don't want anything to do with me because I won't put up with their bulls---," said Justin, adding that Alabama coaches who used to always pick up her calls now pass her off to assistants.

No offense taken...the main reason I posted it was for Gerald Willis...I think we land him although Florida is the current leader...

I'll take a top 100 DL over a top 100 DB anyday.
Gerald come on down.

Agreed. I've said it 1,000 times, if Landon Collins ends up better than Corey Thompson, it won't be by much.
Both kids had about the same amount of playing time this year as well.

I wish many parents of recruits could see what their mom said about saban.
I don't hate bama...but I really do hate saban....with a passion...I always root for him to fail!

Andy from the 40 year old virgin would agree.

Hey but at least LC will win a NC...... while watching on the bench, but good for LC I sure he and his girlfriend are happy with their choices

I think Thompson > Collins
Thompson is going to be very, very good for us IMO.
He looks like a physical specimen and his highlight tapes are great.

I always thought this as well
Thompson laid the wood a couple of times on special teams.

This x1000!! Willis could be much more of a game changer than Landon. Man I used to think his mom would come around and end up being a Bama fan because of LC but shite she seems true LSU to the core. I still think LC would be a much better offensive player than DB but that is just me.
