Does Yahoo! hate the SEC? Forde: Sees SEC vulnerability

I am very interested to see BK match wits with Saban schematically. Its not just confidence ND needs to beat Bama though, it is a great game plan and superior execution. Strong completely outcoac hed Muschamp. Kelly must do the same to Saban in order for the Irish to win.

Forde is a first class hack.

Any criticism the SEC gets it deserves. Heavy is the crown.

Forde is just writing to get page views. Someone has to write the anti-SEC pieces.

Yahoo is liberal as fck. Of course they hate the SEC.

Force calls it like he sees it. I have no problem with that.

I don't get the Forde hate. I like him a lot actually.
And Yahoo doesn't hate the SEC. They, like the rest of the country outside of the SEC, are getting tired of the SEC domination

it doesn't take a rocket surgeon to see that the SEC is overrated a bit right now... to think that half of the top ten is actually made up of SEC teams is a bit excessive, but that's exactly what pollsters/media/fans were thinking...
Bottom line is teams like LSU, Florida, and probably USCe and UGA are/were over-valued... they each have significant flaws.
At what point are teams like LSU and Florida no longer 'playing down' to their competition, and they're just play a lot of mediocre football?

Ford is not hating on the SEC, he is pointing out that this year, just maybe the SEC isn't king of the hill. I think BK is a damn good HC to take ND from where they were 2 years ago to #1. You don't do that without knowing your shite. I posted it in another thread, but, I think all these schools are tiered of hearing about the greatness of the SEC and they are coming to play hard nosed football. Bama, TAMU and Ole Miss need to watch out.

It'll be interesting to see how that translates into success after the BCS is done. I predict that the SEC will continue to be the predominate conference as long as the money is there to hire the best coaches at the most prestigious programs.
In college, it's pretty apparent that great coaching is the biggest key to success, and generally great coaches go where the $ is.

The SEC's supposed superiority in speed, power and physical football just hasn't been in evidence – not the way opponents have gone up and down the field and scored points.
This isn't new...most people on here said it was a down year for the SEC...which is why it was ridiculous that they had 5 teams in the Top 10 just b/c they played each other...but did believe in the superiority of the Top teams...namely LSU/Bama.
Surprised Florida and LSU struggled. That said...ND is like an above average SEC team and Bama should win...not really the challenge as a matchup those outside the SEC wanted to see...ala Oregon.

Yeah that's retarded. Forde's one of the best in the business.

Meh... I think the only thing assured for Monday based on the outcomes of the LSU and Florida games is that Saban won't let Bama come out flat.

I don't think UF came out flat in the Sugar Bowl. The Gators were popping skulls. They got out-schemed though, and in the end, outplayed.
I wonder if that might be a bridge too far for ND? I think the defenses are a wash. Bama's might be a little better, but it's negligible. Bama's offense, especially at the QB position is different. I think McCarron is underrated, and also a clutch guy. ND is starting a talented young freshman QB, who is mobile, but not as experienced. Either way, I'm excited to watch it.

My point was that Saban will have Bama ready in every phase for Monday night.
Seriously, if Notre Dame's offense puts on a Louisville-like performance, I'll be shocked as hell.

Louisville has a gamer for a QB and some very talented WR's. ND's offense is ground and pound and scramble for yardage. Not much of an aerial threat. I'll be shocked as well, TBH.
