How is what possible? The contract between Cox & WAFB ran out. They couldn't reach an agreement on renewal. Therefore, WAFB isn't available on Cox because they don't have a contract to carry the station.

ETA: yes, it's the CBS affiliate in BR.

Its a result of Raycom trying to hold COX over a barrel for a 225% - 250% increase in the rate Cox pays them to carry their Channel.

Fox has been running an alert saying I may lose Fox on Suddenlink. The loss would include: Local Fox affiliate, FX, National Geographic Channel, Nat Geo WILD, SPEED, FUEL TV, FOX Soccer, Fox Movie Channel, FOX Deportes, Fox College Sports and many regional sports networks. Article about the same situation in Dallas

Would mean I'd lose the Season Four Premiere of Justified, Archer & Charlie Sheen's new show, NFC Playoff games, Mavs games, Hornets games, plus all of the Fox animated Sunday night shows.

I say we send Raylon to negotiate.

After the bowl game they decided to do LSU fans a favor by not allowing any of us to watch an LSU SEC gane next year.

Cox is going up on their rates again. This idea sounds more appealing every day.

Eight or 10 years ago that was a $50 fine. It went up to a $500 fine back then and may be more now.

I'm getting rid of Cox tomorrow. I'm paying way too much for a shitty product. My OnDemand only works about 50% of the time.
