what happened to our WR screen game?

pretty much no slip screens anymore, when those were a staple under Jimbo and Crowton (RJ Jackson's in, it's a screen!). the bubble screens seemed to disappear after Sept, and they were really effective as a check out of the I when teams loaded up.
opponents seem to run these well against us (think aTm, Bama, Clemson had a few nice ones).
so what gives? was our blocking just that bad?

getting Beckham in space with no blocking so he can get 2 yards was tried enough this year

We have zero continuity or imagination in play calling. I have zero faith this is going to change anytime soon.

c'mon now, Crowton LOVED him some screens. Shep caught 33 passes in 2010, 30 of em were screens. 27 of those were shitty passes that JJ threw behind him.
but Shep can't catch...
