Albert Breer reporting it.

That would be an awful hire and would get Iowa off the hook for his terrible contract there.

What new set of dominoes would this put into action if he jumps to the league?

Wouldn't Pioli have to stick around for that to happen? They need to ditch both Pioli and Crennel. Must suck to be a Chiefs fan right now.

Yeah, Pioli is the one pushing for him. Obviously if he goes, Ferentz wouldn't get a call.

Unbelievable if Pioli keeps his job. And that would obviously be a horrible hire. It would be interesting to see who Iowa would go after though.

That's what I would want to see. Between the Stoops' and Pelini's there are enough Iowa guys in the coaching ranks, but none of them are really viable candidates, for differing reasons of course. They could get Chuck Long, I heard he's coaching WRs at a high school in Norman right now.

ETA: Jim Leavitt would probably be a good guy to go after, assuming he wants to get back into college coaching. He's the LB coach for the 49ers right now, which I imagine isn't too tough a gig.

Bob Diaco undoubtedly gets a call and probably the job if this happens. DC at Notre Dame and played at Iowa.

Ferentz showing Les how you really leverage for a pay raise. Dude is going to work Iowa for more money off a 4-8 season
