Evidently Clemson practices have been very physical, and Dabo had meltdown at early practice for LSU game.

At least LSU fans will never have to worry about our coaching comparisons being this weak:

And of course, there will always be the certain section of the fan base that will measure everything done against the legend of Danny Ford, that group will almost never be satisfied.

they will lose. they are hungry ill give them that. but there bowl record speaks for itself and its a little bit late to start barking.

they have rod mcdoweel at running back. yeah we have four just like him. they dont. the last time they defeated somebody in a bowl game was against the vols in 2003 who have sucked ever since the clausen age. again - not worried

and lets talk about there seaosn and who they played. yeah they beat auburn but auburn is the new vols. and all there wins are against people that dont matter. oh and they lost to south carolina who was well all torn up. we beat south carolina on there good day.

tajh boyd threw 34 touchdowns
they forced 44 three-and-outs

yeah and they still lost to the only teams that mattered on there schedule this year

They will come out on fire emotionally. After the first 5 minutes the emotional fire will die and they will be drained. They may play physical for a quarter or two. They have little idea how to play a whole knock down game.

+1. Being super hyped for a 60 minute game isn't a substitute for being physically conditioned for it.

Or more importantly, having the bodies to sustain it.

I hope the team isn't overly confident like some here...

Clemson is a good team and program...we will need play solid football to win...

I think many are thinking of last year when they got routed by 50 to WVU....that isn't going to happen, LSU doesn't route teams very often.

The practices have been physical, and I've had players tell me that they have been among the most physical seen at Clemson. One linebacker told me he loved them, but they weren't the type of practices that could be held during the season. He said players would get too beat up and not have any legs left on gameday, and I can see that.

Welcome to SEC play children.

This explains a lot.

This

Adrenaline will only get you so far. After that, you better be ready for another 3+ quarters of football.

I'm not saying that we are going to steamroll Clemson, but when coaches start trying things like this prior to a bowl game.........

Wow...in an effort to make their defense look like it's worth a damn, one of the stats on the bottom says they only gave up 24.9 points per game which is only .08 more than Auburn in 2010. Why in the hell are they comparing themselves to Auburn from two years ago?

Actually Hayes punched Clemson nose guard Charlie Bauman.

Danny Ford was Clemson's head coach.

He served as the head football coach at Clemson University in South Carolina from 1978 to 1989 and at the University of Arkansas from 1993 to 1997, compiling a career record of 122–59–5. During his 12 seasons as head coach of the Clemson Tigers, he captured five Atlantic Coast Conference titles and won six bowl games. Ford's 1981 Clemson team completed a 12–0 season with a win in the Orange Bowl and was named the consensus national champion.

That's the "Legend" of Danny Ford. They treat him as if he were Bear Bryant.
