there were around 9,000 unsold tickets out of the 18,000 given to Clemson to sell.... meaning Clemson is going to eat somewhere around three quarters of a million dollars in unsold tickets.
guess LSU isn't the only one

I feel like every year this happens. Look at all of our bowl games in the Miles era minus last year. The opposing team always jumps on us early and then the fire dies and LSU steamrolls.

If LSU comes out with the want to fight for victory they should win. But I don't think it will be a blow out. The score will probably look more like the USCe game.

Didn't clemson go on NCAA probation just after Danny Ford "coached/cheated" them to their dubious and only national title ???

Yes Coach Furd was fired for cheating during his MNC season.
I tried to warn you guys that clem is physical and tough and extra physical.
clem might look like a finesse and small/quick crew but dabo sweeney says clem is physical. They are physical and tough. I know this because dabo says so.

Dabo would be a good name for a makeup sponge.

Really?? Typical Lamecock crap. The "cheating" took place during the 77-78 years which were before Ford was head man. Also the probation was 82-83 so your telling me they waited SIX years to fire Ford for cheating. Ford coached at Clemson until the end of 89. Ford was fired to getting into it with the president over the football program. The president and some members of the BOT thought he had to much power and Ford wanted things they didnt wanna give(new facilities,upgrades, etc) so it caused problems.

Umm, Yeah. That's not quite right. SOME of the violations were from 1977, but there were plenty of violations from 1980 and 1981. Don't Belive me? Then read the complete NCAA indictment and infraction report from 1982.
NCAA 1982 Clemson Infraction Report
And the fact of the matter is when Danny Ford resigned in January of 1990 (Jan 18th, 1990), it was because the NCAA had announced days earlier (Jan 5th, 1990) that they were opening a second investigation into rules infractions by Clemson's football team (The NCAA leveled no penalties against CU's athletic department with regards to the 2nd investigation.)

Well I stand corrected but the fact remains that Ford didnt get fired because of cheating like Pittcount wants to claim.

Sounds to me like clemson cheated it's way to their title and much of the shame/fault stuck to your miracle man D. Ford !

That's just about it...
quote:
NCAA Bylaw 1-1-(b)-(l) [improper recruiting inducements] -- (a) In December 1980, a representative of the university's athletic interests gave a prospective student athlete a substantial amount of cash in return for his signature on a letter of intent, as well as several other gifts; (b) In December 1980, a representative of the university's athletic interests arranged for a substantial amount of cash to be given to a prospective student athlete and provided the young man and his mother other gifts;
There are those that will argue, that those practices are still going on at Clemson today.
