Ive learned not to question this staff. They knew Taylor wanted to be a Tiger badly, the perfect recruit and still didnt offer.

No les isn't infallible but they decided he isn't what they want. Rb is not a hard spot to fill.

No they decided to rest all of their hopes on a junior in high school. Fournette better come to LSU as well as some other studs or that stocked cupboard can become empty pretty damn fast.

this. because if we lose Hill and Hilliard after 2013 you're looking at starting a true freshman with a true freshman right behind him

Jacob Hester was a guy with Taylor's grit.
Would we have offered him for fear of offending a contemporary Fournette??

Kind of shoots the whole "the focus is all on Fournette" bullshite out of the water doesn't it? (Not directly meant to attack you but more the strategy as it has been explained all year

Is that a strategy the coaches or someone covering the program has said they are pursuing or is it just message board speculation that has become accepted as fact? clearly they were not going to have just 1 RB on the roster, I don't think he buy that anyway.

224 yards and 4 TDs...not good enough for LSU

This is a terribly stupid post and I think you know that.

Yup...because he had 30/275/5...and he's still not good enough for LSU.

This is still a stupid post and you know it. But of course you guys aren't over reacting to one game or anything.

I gave you the real reply earlier. Father in law died today and I'm in a shitty mood. Like I said, it won't break LSU. It's just confusing as to why LSU would pass on this talent that WANTS to go to LSU.

would it really be that much better if it was a sophmore and a true freshman instead?

wow, sorry to hear that. I just mean I know you are smarter than just looking at one game and just because they didn't offer him doesn't mean he's not good enough for LSU. My guess is they fell they had bigger needs and didn't feel he was a don't pass guy, maybe concerns over his knee or there could be something else we don't know about.

EAT: maybe they wanted to wait and see how he did and he or his coaches didn't like that? How many committable offers did he have?

LSU wanted to see how his knee held up, which is reasonable.

he's the best HS RB I've seen this year. He's better than 80% of the guys we have committed

I definitely think it's one we'll be shaking our heads about in a couple of years but the numbers game is a bitch this year. I agree we should have atleast taken one. But then again I was on the Christine Michael train a couple of years ago and I was wrong about that one.

Like i said, too much butt hurt over a texas recruit. Rb is the last position of need. Im gonna go out on a limb here and say he wouldnt have made an imoact in year one any way. Unless we lose a couple rbs to the draft. If blue wasnt hurt, hill prob wouldnt have emerged as soon as he did. I dont see a frosh coming in and taking snaps from blue, hill or hilliard, or ware and ford if they both stay.

If you don't like the j. Hester comparison, how about Rex Burkhead?
He just strikes me as a "will not be denied" back.
I think we are making a mistake...

He's the Mailman's son! He's got to have an offer if for nothing else P/R.
