Don't care for Brad Pitt either as a person or actor but, since I didn't see anything I cared to watch on TV last night I clicked on Moneyball. Glad I did. Enjoyed the mostly true story and the acting.Did a search on this site to see if the subject has been discussed and found nothing during the time the search is done.Seems Billy Beane is still trying to "WIN THE LAST GAME" but the success of the Red Sox sure memorialized his theories.

I think Brad Pitt is a terrific actor and I usually like most of his movies. This is one of them for sure. This was a great movie and I find myself pulling for the A's now.

Having a few elite pitchers and hitters in their prime didn't hurt either.

Pitt is one of the very few blockbuster type actors that is actually an amazing actor.

His methods work because there are 162 baseball games for all the math to work out. When you get to the playoffs you see the real difference in good players stepping up and average or role players fading. His methods are sound though when it comes to running a quality team on a budget and getting them into playoff contention. At least that is what I have noticed.

Very good sports movie
Got a lot of buzz from the Oscar types as well
Jonah Hill was just as good in that movie
