When/if the Falcons fail to win a playoff, do you think that's it for Mike Smith? Not many coaches have survived going 0-4 in the postseason. Remember the Chargers fired Schottenheimer after going 14-2.

Yeah and they'll probably snatch Sean Payton.

As a Falcons fan, I hope not. We werent worth a shite before him except for 98. I also find it hilarious that Saints fans forget they sucked before Sean

We sucked balls before we got Sean. Anyone who says otherwise is kidding themselves. We invented the bag over the head at games .

No. He's a solid coach, and that team is on the rise. It's not like they are head and shoulders above other NFC teams, while they are one of the better ones, there are several very good teams.

No, we've gotten better every year he's been there. The records aren't necessarily better, but we've definitely looked better. Smith has given a stability to this team that has never been there before

And look where they are now.

And frick no, Arthur isn't gonna fire Smitty if they lose. His seat will get warm, but the team is still light years better than when he got here. Smitty is a damn good coach.

You can't really blame Mike Smith for the Falcons playoff losses though. Just look at the teams they lost to. The Cardinals, Packers, and Giants all went on to play for the Super Bowl after beating the Falcons and Warner, Rodgers, and Manning were all playing at a very high level during those postseason runs.

The front office loves the guy. They believe in him, the team respects him. They are slowly putting the pieces together. As a Saints this sucks, but they are on the rise.
