There's so many types of Steriods
The types the WWE retards take (the same types the Guidos Battling Dancing in the Clubs take) are not the same as what athletes are taking
People are ignorant to this fact
And you can get anabolic effects over the counter at GNC
Actually Im sure their all using anabolics as they are the only steroid to speed up muscle recovery via increased testosterone.
Deca, Winstrol, Test, Dbol, Equipoise.
Those are the most popular anabolics. Now the difference between the Guido/WWE guy and the NFL athlete is that the NFL guy could/probably has someone more knowledgeable administrating the juice to keep them from abusing. Theres alot more to sticking a needle in your arse than you would think. With the proper precycle precautions and a good post cycle therapy (to kickstart natural Testosterone production again) Steroids can be used throughout the careers of these athletes without long term effects. And yes you can get over the counter effects similar to steroids from GNC, but those prohormones (designer steroids) are 150x as bad as a pure substance such as Test E, Winstrol that arent harsh on one of your most vital organs (the liver).

No idea about D1 but I used to live in a town with a NAIA school. Their FB players would "lift" at the YMCA, which is to say they hit on the VB team (no pics). Those guys were all ripped as shite. The FB team still sucked.

You ain't gonna see any serious, long term negative effects from one cycle of steroid use.
You may experience backne, hair loss, night sweats, temperament change, chlestorol increase, etc. depending on what steroid you take.
Each steroid has different effect and side effects, can't group them all the same.

The problem is these guys aren't just taking one cycle.

They're talking about long term effects from years of use.

regardless of whether PEDs are terrible for you, performance enhancement from drugs is a fricking cop-out for people who can't cut it. and any athelete who is unwilling to compromise his principles is at a severe disadvantage.
same thing with students taking ritalin to study. it's for pussies who can't cut it.

Yeah it's nothing new. When I was an undergraduate at Miami in the mid-1980s the strength coach was the steroid dealer. He got busted for distributing steroids in South Florida and the AD made a public statement that he didn't provide any players with juice, which was total bullshite. This was when Jimmy Johnson was the coach. The physical changes the guys would undergo from freshmen to seniors was amazing. Nobody's ever talked about that factor in Jimmy Johnson's success. I knew a couple of guys who went to the NFL that probably never would have had the chance without all the juice they did. One guy, who was the #1 pick, didn't do steroids and, while he wasn't a bust, didn't have the NFL career expected out of him.
One thing that used to happen back then, which probably still happens now, is that the school picks non-football athletes for random tests. So the track runners and swimmers get an inordinate amount of the testing.
I always suspected Nebraska had some kind of high quality steroid program under Tom Osborne too. They would get those farm boys bulked up. They'd show off their state of the art weight room and talk about all the hard work the team put in to get so physical but I think juice probably had a lot to do with it as well. Not that Nebraska was the only one, but they seemed kind of obvious.

PEDs are widespread in high school sports? I am calling BS on this. I think most high school kids don't fool with this at all. I bet I am closer to this than you are. Training methods are much better now than they have ever been. When I played it was weightlifting and maybe a few drills and that was about it. These kids are cross training now. They are training for strength, power, speed, explosion, etc.
