I don't know about where it ranks since he's done a million movies and several of them are really good, but Taxi Driver is well worth the watch and I think it's actually a really good rewatch as well.

I agree it's definitely one of his best. I find it very re-watchable too. It's in my top five for that category for sure. I rank it #1 for the movie I can start watching at any point and enjoy. Because of the number of times as I've seen it, watching the last 30 minutes is great.

Agree with this. Didn't he have to learn how to speak Sicilian prior to The Godfather 2?
Anyway. Taxi Driver is definitely top 3 performance. And Harvey Kitel plays a good pimp.
