I have recently made my first two trips to Lake De Cade. (Have had a camp in Pierre Part for 10+ years).

Both times I just went to the East side of the lake and let the current push me toward the middle, fishing live cocaho minows with and H&H popping cork.

These minows cost $40 bucks! I'm really new to saltwater fishing in general. Any other ways/areas to fish this lake?

We caught 40 trout three weeks ago, 50 last week..

Thanks!

I don't see what the problem is if your catching 40 and 50 trout. I know a lot of people that would gladly pay $40 for 40-50 trout.

I like to use white and red sparkle beetles this time of the year in that area. You can also use a more natural cocahoe colored sparkle beetle on days with better water clarity.

Yeah, I rode by your place the other weekend when I was down there fishing, but I didn't see anyone home.

Yea I had been finishing school up so I haven't been down in a month or so. Gonna head there this weekend and on and off for the foreseeable future. Finally graduated so I will have a set schedule so that I can make it down there more often.

40-50 with three people in the boat. The bait shop told us "not many people buying live minows this time of year." I was surprised because that is all we have been catching them on.

Yesterday the fish averaged around 16''.

Will have to try out those Gulp Shrimp Saturday. Thanks for the replies.
