When I was there for SEC champ game and Peach Bowl in 2005 downtown was a ghost town so I didthe Buckhead. That's all I got.

One of the best hamburgers I've ever consumed was at The Vortex. Get on Peachtree (878 PEACHTREE NE) and go north a few miles. Great food and atmoshere. Unique place. You wont regret it.

I'd say just go to midtown. Hit some big club like Opera. Most are located between peachtree and west peachtree. Starting at 14th street. Plenty of non clubs too. I like Cosmo Lava because its all things at once and always crowded.

Most clubs/bars are going to be having New Years Eve parties and will either sell out in advance or be $50-100.

Cheetah Club, classy for the wife.

This is a great bar downtown within walking distance of the Dome and most of the hotels near.

Food is great, drink selection is fantastic, and the layout itself is just really cool. Plus you'll get to watch replays of LSU give Clemson a lubeless fisting.
