| PC Gamers Benchmark/E-Peen Competition - Spring Edition (Posted on 12/18/12 at 7:19 pm)
It's that time of year again! In this thread you can show off your new/modified builds and show off how massive your E-Peen is. I know many of you have the same builds as last time, but go ahead and join for fun. We will have prizes again this year! Please help contribute to the prize list! I will be donating a steam game set, but if you have other parts, or something of the sort you don't use, DONATE IT! Rules 1. Download 3DMark 11, CPU-Z, and GPU-Z 2. Run 3DMark 11 on the basic settings in Centered (not stretched, centered should be default) 3. Take a screenshot of your results with GPU-Z and CPU-Z open next to it and your TigerDroppings name somewhere in the screenshot. Like this: 4. Post your Cpu overclocks, Motherboard, video cards and overclocks. Looks a little something like this:
quote:
a) i5 3570k @ 4.4 @ 1.224v b) ASRock z77e-itx c) Sapphire Vapor-x 7970ghz @ 1050/1500
5. Link to your 3DMark 11 score. Make it look like this: 3DMark 11: P9484 6. *OPTIONAL* Post up your full build so people can see it (don't be afraid to include pics)! Prizes 1. Bluebarracuda Steam Game Set - Portal, Trine 2, Space Pirates and Zombies, Frozen Synapse, and Nuclear Dawn How Prize Winners Will Be Decided This might be confusing and hard to understand but hang with me. Say you get a score on 3DMark 11 of P9750, you will divide that by 250 and you will receive that many ballots for the drawing. Basically, for every 250 points in 3DMark 11, you will get 1 ballot in the drawing. I still haven't decided the most fair way to do the drawing yet, so if anyone has any ideas, or better ideas in general about the way the prizes should be decided, discuss in this thread! EDIT- If you're banned from TD, send me an invite on steam and I can work you into the competition. My name is Bluebarracuda. Tell me your TD name and such when you add me so I know who you are

It's an e-peen measuring contest where people that have dumped a lot of money into their system will be rewarded with components they don't need? I don't get it.

You betcha! Was actually considering that as the title

It's all going to be based on the luck of the draw (most likely the way it's going to be decided). We all know Coyote has the best system here, but it doesn't hurt seeing other peoples systems and they're benches. EDIT: If we get a few more prices (2 or 3) then that'll have 5 people winning prizes. Gives a pretty good shot at someone getting something for free (not including shipping, depending on the prize giver).

You don't need to reserve. Edit it back into your first post then I'll throw it into my reserves so everyones are in one place. This is kind of a shout out to everyone dourden, yes it'll let you know when it's finished (it'll bring you to the 3dmark 11 score page online)

Update your catalyst drivers to 12.11. It should give you a nice little boost in performance And could you go through and do your clocks and stuff? I don't want to have to do it for every person

This will be another thread a some point I will need a lot of hand holding to do it because I am very much a noob with clocking. Will update and run again, if I get a better score I will replace the screenshot.

Update your motherboard to an ASRock extreme4 or a cheaper one like the pro4 and follow this GUIDE. I used this and it is crazy helpful

Let's just say they are stock and be done with it, I will not be in the top of the competition anyway.
