Will it be the most ridiculous, shameful selection of all-time? I keep hearing people say that it's a three-man race between Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin and Russell Wilson. Am I the only one who watches these games? Do people just feel they have to blindly award Luck the ROY solely to perpetuate this hoax of a notion that Luck is the GOAT QB prospect? I mean God forbid we look at stats. I know it's difficult, but bear with me for a minute.

At the moment, RG3 is currently at 3rd in the league in QB Rating. Wilson is doing pretty well at 7th. Andrew Luck, as it stands today, is 29th in the league in QB Rating.

Statistically the only QBs he's better than are John Skelton, Matt Cassel, Mark Sanchez, Ryan Tannehill, and Brandon Weeden. You could find a John Skelton at any Walmart in America, Matt Cassel has never been anything but a loser, Mark Sanchez just got benched for GREG MCELROY, Ryan Tannehill doesn't have a WR who runs below 5.0, and Brandon Weeden is another rookie.

Is this really the guy we're talking about giving an award to? He's below Jake Locker, Blaine Gabbert, Michael Vick, Christian Ponder and a host of other scrubs.

At the moment he is leading the league in INTs thrown. Are we really going to give an award to the QB who does the absolute worst thing you can do beter than anyone? His completion percentage is almost 12 percentage points below RG3. Wilson has more TDs than Luck with half as many INTs. RG3 has the same amount with a quarter of the INTs. Statistically, Andrew Luck is the worst QB in the NFL on the road.

I think the best argument I hear about Luck's season is his team's record and all the comebacks Luck has led. First of all, he's only got one more win than RG3 and the same amount as Wilson. Second, he has played one of the easiest schedules in NFL history. The AFC is hystorically mediocre this season. Want to know how mediocre the AFC is this year? After the Broncos, the longest winning streak in the AFC is..... ONE GAME. He gets to play the Jaguars, the Titans, the Titans, the Chiefs, the Bills, etc. They're attrocious.

Now this isn't to say that Luck can't end up being the best of the three. I've always said it will be RG3, but it's one season and far too early to judge. Luck absolutely could end up being the best. As some have noted, Peyton gave out INTs like Halloween candy his rookie season but obviously turned it around from that. This isn't a condemnation of Luck. This is a season award not a career predictor. Luck's season pales in epic proportions to anything RG3 or Russell Wilson have done.

It's Wilson or Griffin IMO. And I really don't think Wilson will win unless he slings 4 TDs against the Niners and the Rams.

Luck was the only significant change to the colts and has taken them from a 2 win team to nearly 10 wins and a playoff run. Using just QB rating in the evaluation is too simplistic. Plus how many games will RG3 be out for? The one person that should be mentioned is Morris. Dude has been a stud for washington all year.

Luck has taken a lot of risks in order to win games. When you are asked to throw the ball 40+ times a game as a rookie and your team makes the playoffs: you are worthy of rookie of the year discussions.

Nope.

2 wins to 9 wins

Nuff said.

Statistics definitely aren't in his favor. Well one is, and that's his record.

The rookie of the year is Alfred Morris. He won't win, but he's been the best.

This is the only reason he is in consideration IMO.

RG3 being on the bench doesn't help. Plus the fact that RG3 has another RotY candidate on his team.

Wilson is making a pretty good run right now.

He's tied with Wilson and 1 game above RG3. They're slaughtering him in QB Rating and TD-INT ratio.

People act like Seattle and Washington are cellar-dwellers.

And how many wins did those teams have last year? 2? Nope.

What's even more amazing is that all three of these QB's teams are in playoff position. That's amazing. I think RG3 or Russell Wilson win it, IMO, unless Luck can take his team farther in the playoffs than the other two. And I guess it'd have to be MUCH farther than the other two.

I already mentioned morris in the backfield with RG3, but don't forget Lynch is in the backfield with Wilson. How much success does either of those QBs have with a shitty running game like the colts have?

This. He has 200 more pass attempts than Wilson and Griffin each.

However, I do think that RG3 and Wilson should be ahead of him. If I had a vote it would go to Wilson.
