I got a trigger job on it and it now has a 3lbs trigger pull which I feel comfortable. What else can I do to get this rifle to shoot a dick off a hummingbird?
Can I put a better barrel on it? If so, what kind?
Can I change calibers by getting a new ball and bolt?
I'm trying to work with what I have. It was my first rifle my dad bought me so I want to keep it and build around it.

The only other caliber I'd want is a .300 win mag. Would it be cheaper to just buy one?
Can I get a 700 w a detachable magazine? I hate loading through the top.

A new stock and barrel would make it a laser.

What type of barrel should I look for? Twist, length, type of metal and etc? I'm very unfamiliar with this part of the rifle.

you can always free float the barrel. you may be able to change the trigger to a timminy trigger.

Any of the big name brands in bench rest barrels. There are people here who know more about this than me so ill let them tell you what to do.

Still a little heavy less will make the accuracy you want easier to obtain.

upgrade the stock and free float the barrel as others have stated.

What they said.

You can make that rifle into a laser beam by simple getting a new stock, bedding it and floating the barrel. I'd do that before I changed barrels just to see how much an improvement it was. If you want to go tighter then like they said, pretty much any of the aftermarket target barrels will be an improvement.

And I'd go lighter with the trigger if this is just for target shooting. On one of our bench guns the trigger is so light that if you think you just felt your finger touch the trigger, that's where it goes off. That gun will stack .308s into a dime sized hole all day long.

this is something that you can do yourself if you are somewhat handy. its not hard, it just takes patience. there are some good forums where you can get advice/pointers
