But doesn't the A2 that's on the one I linked put it to 14.5? I think a 3" hider at the end might look a little goofy.

NO. THE A2x2 ON THE 14.5 PUTS IT AT 16.
The A2 on the one you linked is a standard A2. Not a x2. They take it off and put a A2x2 on. It will look like that picture.
The image you linked has the A2 standard, looks fine. The image he linked is a 14,5 with the x2, and it still looks fine.

I think were on the same page but I'm doing a shitty job of getting my point across.
The A2 that is on there currently puts it at 14.5 which is too short. If they put an A2x2 on there it will make it 16". So the new A2x2 hider by itself is 3" long?
If so does it not look a little out of proportion?

Drew, I suck at math. But 14.5+1.5=16. You do not need a 3in hider. Its barely noticeable.

In all reality the flash hiders/muzzle devices on the 14.5" are only about 1.5" maybe 1.6". I do not who is throwing out this 3" number.

I thought the A2 was 1.5" and the A2x2 was 3". So if the 13" upper has an A2 it makes it 14.5" but if it has an A2x2 it's 16"

No the barrel is only 14.5" with the regular flash hider, I believe it only makes it to 15" since the flash hider adds a little over 1" to the barrel.

No, because the BARREL is 14.5, they dont measure the end of the standard flash. As it sits with the standard, its a 14.5 barrel, and 15.5 total. But when you weld and pin a A2x2 or other compensator, it becomes a permanent attachment, and then its measured from the end of the device

Since the flash hider is not permanently attached to the one being advertised, they advertise the actual barrel length without the flash hider. I promise you that an a2x2 will be legal on that upper.
